A comprehensive course done by Tim Smith. The Club is changing its culture and it's following in on the steps of other local clubs, where there are enough helms within the club to stand in, in case of emergency. Cost of the course is €150 payable to Tim, with opportunities to recover initial costs

About the event
The club is changing its culture and we are following in on the steps of other successful dragon boat clubs, locally but also internationally, where a club has enough trained helms to step in and help the club when there is a need or emergency, in order to avoid last minute cancellations, due to unpredicted impediments which may arise to regular coaches.
While you may be asked to stand in, occasionally, this does not mean that you will give up your paddling career. You are, though, developing the back bone of your own club and help the team, when there is a need.
When this will be required, rest assured that the club will compensate you for your effort, hence you have a chance to recover your monetary investment in the initial training.
